A Poem for our Future Home

........A happy home. A place decorated with laughter and adorned with peace. A refuge from the counterfeit world that lies outside its front door. Everything inside is old-fashioned and used, and smells like a warm hug on a cloudy day. Books line the walls, some for reading, others for show, but none as important as the Bible that we're all centered around. God is in this place, we invited Him here, in hopes of getting to know Him more and more each day and resting in his promises. This is a place where cookies are made and dinners are shared, where love is spread thick and forgiveness is supplied. A garden lies in the back, filled with all we'll really ever need, and more than enough to share with neighbors and loved ones. We work in the soil and are reminded of where we've come from, and how simple things can be. Sunshine filled days and hours spent on the porch in the evening playing games and talking about our day. A happy home, a cozy home, a handmade thrift store born little corner of the world to live out our days and dream of Heaven.

Home-Made Bunny

I decided the other night to make a stuffed bunny. I didn't have a pattern, so I made my own, and I'm so excited about how it's turning out! I haven't named him yet, but perhaps that will come later.

A Garden

As renters, we have no soil to call our own, so we opted for making our very own mini-garden. We planted little plants in big pots on our porch and they seem to be pretty happy so far. We have basil, oregano, parsley, a tomato plant, a jalepeno plant, and a strawberry plant too. I can't wait to see them grow!
